The Growth Conundrum

True to all forms of growth, your resources are pushed to the edge until you gather more.

In this period, a strain is placed on these resources (could be you and your team, finances, experience, physical capacity, etc).

So, how do we balance this and continue to grow?

Stay supple. Build within your means. Don’t push too hard when it truly isn’t necessary or helpful.

If you are playing the long game and your team is clear on the direction, the ship will keep sailing.

There are plenty of rough waters to navigate without us creating them for ourselves by pushing too hard.

Ps. I’ve royally screwed this up in the past. Pushing to scale a business at a rate that puts unnecessary stress on all of its parts. Don’t get me wrong, growth is good and scaling fast is often necessary, but it is easy to lose awareness of its impact on the quality of work, relationships, and clients. This is not a tale against scale, rather a word of caution to do the work mindfully.

Go get ‘em,

Derek
